Danica Velez, MA, AMFT#127529

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

There are moments in life when the weight we carry becomes too heavy to hold alone. Danica believes therapy offers a space to lay that weight down, a place where pain can be witnessed, stories can unfold, and new beginnings can take root.

Known for her calm presence and intuitive understanding, Danica meets each client with warmth, curiosity, and genuine care. She walks beside those navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life, transitions, relationships, struggles, spiritual questions, and the tender work of rediscovering who they are.

Her approach blends heart and science. Danica is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), an evidence-based method that helps the brain and body recover from trauma, as well as the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), a gentle, acupuncture-based practice that eases emotional and physical pain stored in the nervous system.

For Danica, therapy is more than talking. It processes the returning to yourself, piece by piece, with compassion and hope. Through warmth, attunement, and grounded presence, she helps clients find steadiness in the midst of struggle and reconnect with life waiting beneath the pain.

Danica earned her Master of Arts in clinical psychology from Azusa Pacific University and is a registered associate. Marriage and family therapist (AAMFT #127529) working under the supervision of Dr. Toni Dunning, MA, DMFT, LMFT #MFC51248.
